In terms of total dev time, we’re close to 80% of a 5+ year-long production, not including any potential post-launch DLC. WebES1 was pretty difficult on the Normal setting as well and many people played on the Easy setting till they got a few perks. It might be that way with ES2 as well where you have to build up to the point of playing on Normal difficulty. As for tips, I used like 15 mine launchers, that seemed to soften them up a bit. :)
