I have the creaking suspension noise. It happens all the time not just when parked. It only happens when I turn the steering and is most noticable at slow speeds. With front end in the air, grab wheel by 12/6 o'clock and 3/9 o'clock positions and rock the wheel, you should get no movement. If wheel moves in the 12/6 o'clock position, then upper or lower ball joint is bad.
