WebIn my case, I have 4 cores, hyperthreaded into 8 virtual processors. Neither my guests or host are CPU starved. But even my XP-pro runs better with 4 cpu's, and I think that is because with four processors, 4 threads can run concurrently in the guest. So, I have 4 cores per socket, and 4 cpus assigned to all of my guests that can run with 4 cpus.
