Friend of mine bought a rebuilt steering box for his ram 2500 and it was also bad. Bought a new aftermarket box for 750$. Was worth it for a nearly zero backlash box. The rebuilt ones don't actually properly buildup the output shaft and then turn it down. (That would cost more than a new one).
